Part of a collection of scores from the Dresden Jewish community. Adler indicates that the cover of this volume reads: “Partitur für Gesänge zum Sabath.” This is no longer on the cover; possibly removed when rebound.

In Birnbaum’s notes attached to the manuscript (c.f. Mus. 92 Indices), he indicates that the first five items were performed at the dedication of the new synagogue at Dresden on May 8, 1840.
