Description: 

This manuscript contains a folksong in German entitled “Der Tanzmeister= The Dance Master,” likely written for the tenor voice. The song is in Minuet and Trio form (ABA). The lyrical content includes instructions for dancing. Underneath, the anonymous scribe has included a sketch for an Andantino instrumental piece, which can be found in totality on the verso. A reused piece of staff paper has been glued to the top of the verso to extend the page, leading one to consider if the recto is also a reused piece of paper.
